June Featured Artist

Paintings by artist Larry Wheeler are on display from June 2nd to June 30th on the exhibition wall of The Hopewell Hub in downtown Hopewell, Oregon.

The artist enjoys using three painting mediums. Oil paint on panels or canvas, egg tempera on panels, and watercolor with ink on paper. Representing the human figure with abstract forms creates a visual allegory, a narrative with anemotional/spiritual content. The space becomes dynamically energized. Art works typically include gilding techniques.
